Baxter is a yorkie/shih tzu mix who came from an overcrowded out of area shelter.  He is a mellow guy, somewhat shy at first, but soon warms up. He needs a quiet home, with a patient owner to bring him out of his shell.  He weighs about 10 lbs.

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE WILLING TO MAKE THIS COMMITMENT BEFORE APPLYING.  We require adopters to first fill out our adoption app online. You cannot proceed with the adoption without it.
