Bella is a stunning Boston Bull Terrier, 4 years old, very social and friendly with people but as Boston fanciers might know, not a fan of other dogs.  She definitely wants to be the alpha and so will need a breed knowledgeable person to help with this issue.  She was surrendered to us because she was living with other dogs and the alpha of the pack died of old age, and Bella decided she wanted to assume that position - the other dogs didn't agree with her.  So in the interests of harmony her elderly owner needed to surrender her so that we could find her a more appropriate home.  Bella might do ok with a larger male dog but we would prefer that she be the only dog.  We are also looking for someone who can assume the pack leader position with her as her human, possibly someone with breed experience or experience with alpha dogs or who at least would be willing to go to training classes with her. 

As with most rescue/shelter dogs, he or she may or may not be housebroken, or at the least need a readjustment /re-training period. If you are not able or willing to retrain a dog with housebreaking in a gentle, repetitious manner please DO NOT APPLY.  NEW DOGS REQUIRE SPECIAL HANDLING, TIME and CARE.
